Utricularia graminifolia is a fine-leaved carpeting plant that creates a soft, grass-like foreground with a very natural look. Unlike true grasses, it spreads by runners and forms a smooth, continuous carpet when conditions are stable.
Plant in small portions across the substrate and allow time for it to settle. This species is more sensitive than most carpeting plants and performs best in mature aquariums with stable parameters. Moderate to strong lighting and added CO₂ are strongly recommended to encourage healthy spread and prevent dieback during the early stages. Once established, it forms an attractive, flowing carpet with minimal height.
